This 3 day Uganda Gorilla Safari Tour takes you to Bwindi Forest Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking. Beyond the Gorillas, you will also have a chance to spot different bird species Primates such as colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, black and white monkeys, baboons, mammal species such as Forest elephants, bush pigs, duikers, etc different reptiles such as horned chameleons, over and over 163 tree species.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from the Airport/guest house and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Pickup by our safari guide from the airport/ hotel in Entebbe/Kampala after early morning breakfast. The guide will brief you about this 3-day gorilla trekking Safari before proceeding to the home of the mountain Gorillas. You will drive through the winding and rolling green hills of western Uganda reaching the home of the gorillas late in the evening having a stopover at the Equator for Photography and Lunch break in Mbarara at Agip motel/ Igongo country hotel.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Optional Activities around the Park.
After an early breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for briefing by the park rangers at 7:00 am. The briefing includes dos and don’ts while in the park, you will also be divided in groups of 8 individuals thereafter be allocated a gorilla family to track. Thereafter you will be led to the forest by the rangers for your gorilla trekking experience.
Gorilla trekking is an amazing memorable experience watching the Mountain gorillas go about their day, play around, and do their day-to-day activities. This excursion takes 2 hours or even up to 8 hours depending on the location and movement of the gorillas. At this point, you are required to be physically fit because you are to walk long distances amidst steep slopes, waterfalls, muddy landslides that require a walking stick for support. On finding the gorillas, you will spend one hour with them as you take photos as well as observing their behavioral characters in their natural setting.
Return back to the starting point and you will be awarded a certificate of participation and later drive to the lodge and in the evening, you may choose to relax at the lodge or visit the Batwa community which will expose you to their culture through storytelling, live dance, and exhibition of how they survived in the forest before eviction. Dinner and overnight stay back at the lodge.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe to End the Safari.
After an early breakfast, Check-out, and transfer back to Kampala, along the way you will be able to have morning clear views of the misty Bwindi driving through the terraced gardens of Kabale and Kisoro respectively. Enjoy the views of the lush green vegetation cover. Have lunch in Mbarara and proceed to Kampala. Your safari guide will drop you off at the hotel or at the airport to catch your flight back home. End of the tour.
