Complete 5-days gorilla trek Rwanda package highlights
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport and transportation to the Parc des Volcanoes
After meeting and greeting our representative at the designated location, your guide will take you to Parc Nationale de Volcanoes. Rwanda is known as the “land of a thousand hills” because of its stunning hilly landscapes, which you will see on the way to Ruhengeri. You will be amazed at how beautifully the hills are arranged in descending order, with undulating green grass covering them all. Get there before dinner and before bed.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking tour: Cultural performance
With the exception of the moment you encounter the gorillas, you will never remember anything at all. In the twenty-first century, gorillas have tended to dominate the travel and tourist sector. You will be led through a forest that includes hilly walks that can get slick during the rainy season. Although you will only be with these giants for a maximum of one hour, the experience of seeing a gorilla is worth the fatigue that comes with waiting two to six hours to see them. For this workout, it is advisable to bring water and a packed lunch. After dinner, retire to the lodge you have reserved for the night.
Day 3: Unwind at the Kivu Serena Hotel beside Lake Kivu
The largest lake, Lake Kivu, on the Rwanda/Congo border, resembles a gigantic inland sea and has some fascinating lakefront settlements. A tranquil haven for swimming, kayaking, and water skiing, Kibuye is two hours from Kigali. Formerly a well-known resort, Gisenyi today has a languid, forgotten atmosphere and some lovely but dilapidated Belgian-era buildings. After gorilla tracking in PNV in Rwanda, one can explore Lake Kivu. You won’t be the same after taking a boat ride on the lake, where you can perhaps spot numerous bird species and other aquatic creatures. You’ll eat dinner and sleep soundly.
Day 4 of 5: Proceeding to Kigali for a city tour
Since 1965, Kigali has served as Rwanda’s capital. Spread across several hills, this charming city has a pleasant, buoyant aura despite going through some tough times due to the 1994 genocide and following power changes. The administrative district is located on the nearby Kaciyiru hill, while the main retail and business center is located around the Hotel Mille Collines. Some of the primary points of interest in Gisozi include the markets, the handicrafts, the Muslim neighborhood, and a new genocide memorial that is now under construction. In Kigali, you will have dinner and spend the night in tranquility.
Day 5: Set aside for departure at the airport in Kigali
The only qualified guide will get you from your place after breakfast and take you to the airport in time for your flight.
