5-Days Kenya Wildlife Experience: Take a luxurious five-day trip to see the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru, two of Kenya’s most famous parks. More than 100 rhinos and a variety of birds, including millions of pink flamingos, may be seen in Lake Nakuru National Park, a rhino sanctuary. The endangered Rothschild’s giraffe can also be found there. Because of the Great Migration and its abundance of wildlife, the Masai Mara is the highlight of any African safari. You can alter this package to suit your tastes.
5-Days Kenya Wildlife Experience Itinerary
Day 1: Masai Mara National Reserve in Nairobi
Set out early in the morning for Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the few remaining locations on the planet where wildlife lives relatively unaltered and in the same quantities as it did when it roamed the plains and forests across Africa. Thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and other predators participate in the dramatic yearly Great Migration in the Mara, which is the northernmost point of the huge Serengeti ecosystem. After arriving in time for lunch, you’ll go on a game drive in the afternoon.
Day 2: National Reserve of Masai Mara
A full-day wildlife drive in the Masai Mara is available today, including with a picnic lunch. The reserve’s extensive resident animals and black-maned lion are its most well-known features. It is among the few locations where a morning game drive can view the “Big Five.” Since they are so docile, many cheetahs seek cover from the scorching heat beneath cars, and some even scale rooftops to have a closer look at potential food!
For those who enjoy birds, nearly 500 species have been identified here, including four bustard species (including the Kori bustard, the heaviest flying bird in the world), six vulture species, eight stork species, sixteen eagle species, and numerous hawk and falcon species.
Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park and Masai Mara National Reserve
You will be driven to Lake Nakuru National Park after being picked up early in the morning. This park is regarded as one of the world’s natural wonders and is well-known worldwide for its flamingos and alkaline lake. With more than 40 black and 60 white rhinos living there, Lake Nakuru is also a rhino sanctuary. You will arrive in time for lunch and then go on an afternoon game drive.
Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the campsite. Lake Nakuru is also a rhino sanctuary, home to a population of over 40 black and over 60 white rhinos. However, the main draw here has always been the flamingos, which can occasionally number nearly two million and form a breathtakingly beautiful deep pink band around the lakeshore.
Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha National Park on Day Four
We’ll drive to Lake Naivasha, the tallest and most exquisite lake in the Rift Valley, early this morning. The water is fresh at 1910m (6200f) and fringed with thick clusters of papyrus, which the ancient Egyptians used to make paper. Herons hide in the papyrus to find food, and kingfishers use it as a perch.
Another well-liked location for bird viewing is Naivasha, where more than 400 species have been identified. Nairobi locals also love it as a weekend getaway, coming here to water ski, fish, and sail. Because of the lake’s high elevation, there are many hippos, but no crocodiles because the water is too cold for them. Grapes for the nation’s nascent wine industry are grown in vineyards along the lakefront.
Day 5 Nairobi’s Lake Naivasha National Park
You will leave the park after breakfast and head back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you can spend the day indulging in optional activities (depending on your travel itinerary). Later, we will transport you to the airport or your hotel. This is the end of your Kenya safari.
