Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival for your 8 days highlights of Rwanda journey, meet your tour guide and receive your safari briefings at Kigali International Airport when you arrive. After checking into your hotel, proceed with Kigali city tour, to include a visit to the Genocide Memorial and a craft market. After lunch, go to Akagera National Park, which is situated on the Tanzanian border at a comparatively low elevation.
Day 2: Game drive
We go on a full-day game drive in the Akagera National Park, which is home to a wide range of species. It’s an exciting park with lots of animals and extraordinary birdlife. An optional boat trip to Lake Ihema in the afternoon to see crocodiles and hippos is available.
Day 3: Canopy Walk in Nyungwe National Park
Following an early breakfast on day 3 of the 8 days highlights of Rwanda journey, we travel via Kigali and Butare before arriving at Nyungwe Forest National Park, where we will stop at Nyanza to see the Ancient Royal Palace. After lunch, we travel to Butare to visit the Rwanda National Museum before spending the night in the Nyungwe forest.
Day 4: Trekking with Chimpanzees
We arrive to the park for the chimp trekking sessions after an early breakfast, and then we set out on a stroll through Nyungwe Forest. Along the route, we will come across several forest-dwelling birds, a variety of other primate species, and other wildlife animals. We explore the paradisiacal Nyungwe at a height of 40 meters above ground level after lunch at the resort and then head back into the park for a canopy walkway experience.
Day 5: Encounters with the community
Have your breakfast on day 5 of this 8 days highlights of Rwanda journey, we go to Musanze in the north, which is close to Lake Kivu. The roads provide sweeping views of the lake and the surrounding hilly terrain of Rwanda. Eat lunch in Gisenyi before continuing on to Musanze for the night.
Day 6: Rwanda’s Outstanding Activities: Trekking with Gorillas
Following breakfast and your morning wake-up call, proceed to the park headquarters where the guides for Volcanoes National Park will give you a gorilla trekking briefing. Begin your trip, which will vary in duration based on the gorilla group you have been assigned to, after you have been assigned to a particular group. Before you head back down the volcano slopes, you will spend an hour with them. Later, we go to the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Center after lunch at the resort. Day 7: Trekking Gorillas of Rwanda
Following an early breakfast, we go to the park offices to complete the necessary paperwork before beginning the walk to the summit of Bisoke Volcano, which boasts a stunning crater lake, with your knowledgeable hiking guide. After the hike, return to the lodge for lunch and refreshments, then take pleasure of the trip back to Kigali.
Day 8: Departure
