Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our team. From there, you’ll be transferred to a nearby luxury hotel where you’ll spend the night, allowing you to relax and prepare for your adventure ahead.
Day 2: Flight to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Kajjansi Airstrip for a scenic flight to Pakuba Airstrip near Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive through the park, offering opportunities to spot iconic African wildlife. Your accommodation for the night will be at a lodge within the park.
Day 3: Exploration of Murchison Falls National Park
Today begins with a memorable boat safari along the Nile River to the base of the breathtaking Murchison Falls. In the afternoon, you’ll have the chance to visit the top of the falls for a different perspective. You’ll spend another night at the lodge, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.
Day 4: Flight to Kibale Forest National Park
Following breakfast, you’ll transfer to Pakuba Airstrip for a flight to Kasese Airstrip near Kibale Forest National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll check in at a lodge situated near the forest, where you can relax and unwind. The evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest
Early in the morning, you’ll embark on an exciting chimpanzee trekking expedition in Kibale Forest, home to one of the highest concentrations of primates in Africa. After your trek, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary on a guided nature walk. You’ll return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Flight to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today, you’ll transfer to Kasese Airstrip for a flight to Mweya Airstrip within Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll check in at a lodge nestled within the park before heading out for an afternoon game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, known for their abundant wildlife. You’ll spend the night at the lodge, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African bush.
Day 7: Exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start your day with a leisurely boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, offering unparalleled opportunities to observe hippos, crocodiles, and a myriad of bird species up close. In the afternoon, you can choose from various optional activities such as a guided nature walk or another game drive to further explore the park’s diverse ecosystems. You’ll return to the lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 8: Flight to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, you’ll transfer to Mweya Airstrip for a flight to Kihihi Airstrip near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, renowned for its population of endangered mountain gorillas. Upon arrival, you’ll check in at a lodge near the forest, where you’ll have the afternoon to relax or partake in optional activities. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and departure
Today marks the highlight of your safari adventure as you embark on a thrilling gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off into the forest with experienced guides in search of a habituated gorilla family. Upon encountering these magnificent creatures, you’ll have the rare opportunity to observe and photograph them in their natural habitat.
After the trek, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch before transferring to Kihihi Airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable journey through Uganda.
