Aruu Falls in the Pader Acholi Region are situated in North of the capital city Kampala along Gulu-Kitgum route in the Pader district in Northern Uganda.

Aruu Falls in the Pader Acholi Region: The Aruu Falls are situated along the Gulu-Kitgum route in the Pader district in Northern Uganda. The falls flows into Lapaya village in Pader district from Agogo district. Between Langis and Acholi’s, the falls are situated in the middle of the forest. You will undoubtedly come across farms near the falls if you travel because these individuals are also farmers.

These falls are ideally situated 386 kilometers from Kampala, the capital of Uganda, 47 kilometers from Gulu, and 57 kilometers from Ktgum. Using the Gulu route, it takes between 4 to 6 hours to get there from Kampala.The Aruu Falls campground, a popular tourist destination, is located 8 kilometers from the Aruu Trading Center.

Aruu Falls offers swimming as an activity. A swimming pool is located downstream of the falls, where some water converges to form a pool of water for swimming. However, the falls’ management consistently recommends that only experienced swimmers swim in the pool because of the hard rocks present, but anyone can swim at their own risk.

Water viewing and scenic viewing: Is the most popular activity at the Aruu Falls, and nearly every tourist does it. Standing at a key location near the falls allows visitors to fully appreciate their beauty and the sound of the water cascading over the rocks. They may also take pictures and film movies, among other things. It usually takes over an hour to really appreciate the uniqueness of the breathtaking Aruu Falls, even if this activity is typically taken as a miner.

Nature and community walks: Visitors to this area may also go on a guided nature walk to learn more about the locals and the surroundings of the falls. The woodland and the vicinity of the Aruu Falls are the primary locations for the nature walks. How to get to Aruu falls

The Aruu Falls are situated in Pader District in Acholi region in northern Uganda along the Gulu-Kitgum Highway.The roads leading to the falls are small and slick, especially during the rainy season, thus it is best use 4WD vehicles when traveling to the falls. It takes around four to six hours to go from Kampala city to Pader along the Kampala-Gulu route. The distance from Gulu city is around 47 kilometers.
